Personal Style and Wardrobe Favorites

UASHMAMA: How would you describe your personal style, and what are some of the most treasured pieces in your wardrobe you reach for again and again?

Sarah: My personal style is very classic, but I'm often in athleisure due to my current stage in life with lots of youth sports. I also always try to dress for the figure I have, so A-lines seem to be the most flattering. I have a couple different variations of the Wells dress and Millie dresses from Staud. When in doubt, I usually reach for them! While I love a classic style, I do like to mix in trends that still feel like me! Adding in something trendy every once in a while keeps a classic style, current.

Key Pieces and Colors for the Season

UASHMAMA: What do you think are the key pieces and colors that everyone should have in their wardrobe right now?

Sarah: Chocolate brown and chartreuse seem to be the colors of the moment right now.

Sources of Style Inspiration

UASHMAMA: Where do you turn for inspiration for your style?

Sarah: I grew up watching so many old movies with my mom and swooning over the styles on screen! Two of my favorites are High Society with Grace Kelly and the original Sabrina with Audrey Hepburn. Outside of movies, travel has been an inspiration. Specifically, where we go to in Spain each year, San Sebastian. I find the women there so polished in their pressed linen in the summer, hair coiffed, and always with a fun heel it seems! They are so stylish!

Packing Tips for Fall and Winter Travel

UASHMAMA: Do you have any tips for packing for a trip in the fall or winter?

Sarah: 

1. Think of it like a "capsule wardrobe" and pack items that can mix and match.

2. Always wear your heaviest shoes on the plane to save space and weight in your luggage.

3. Pack what you love and feels like "you!"

Advice on Balancing Life, Motherhood, and Ambition

UASHMAMA: As a successful business owner, influential content creator, mother and world traveler, what advice would you give to other young women on reaching their goals while trying to balance business, life and motherhood?

Sarah: There are times in business where you can and need to step on the gas, and times when you have to come to a complete stop. For me, that's largely been dictated by motherhood. I've learned that a peaceful home for my family is what will always feel best for me. I work hard, so I can make the best yeses when it comes to my business. Success to me has changed over time, and right now, it's being flexible and able to go to my sons chapel every week, cook dinner for my family most nights, and take good care of myself.
